As police investigate the death of Franklyn Malone, of The Valley, Virgin Gorda, they are asking the public to help retrace his steps after leaving the Magistrates’Court at around 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 19, the Police Information Office announced Friday.

Mr. Malone was last seen alive on that day in the area of Beef Island, as he was preparing to board a boat to Virgin Gorda, police previously stated.

They added on Friday that he was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt, a pair of grey-and-white shoes, and a green baseball cap.

On Nov. 24, a body washed ashore in Fat Hogs Bay that is believed to be Mr. Malone, though further forensic tests must be completed to confirm a positive identification, according to police.

“Persons who may have seen Malone or have any information about his activities after he left Magistrates’ Court on [Nov. 19] are asked to contact Inspector Louis Buckley directly at 368-9588,” police stated.
