As part of a series of pleas to the public about unsolved killings in the territory, police last week asked for help in learning who killed 20-year-old Anderson Thomas of Paraquita Bay, who was shot dead in Market Square in Road Town in June 2007.

At 3:30 a.m. on the day of his death, Mr. Thomas, accompanied by three women, was reversing his vehicle when an unidentified assailant walked up to the car and fired several shots at him, according to a press release police issued on June 16.

Police arrived on the scene shortly after and discovered that Mr. Thomas had been fatally wounded.

“A day don’t goes by without me remembering my son and how he was brutally taken from me,” Mr. Thomas’ father Ecedro Thomas told police, according to the press release.

“I pray to God every day that his killer be found and brought to justice. I remember my son around me playing in the lagoon. It still hurts even after all these years. Why is he not here with me like other people children? I miss him dearly.”

Anyone with information relating to the attack is urged to contact Detective Inspector Vernon Larocque at 368-9809, or the Major Crime Investigation Team at 368-5682.
