Two men were arrested Sunday night after a police stop-and-search operation on Sir Francis Drake Highway resulted in the seizure of a firearm, police said.
Officers of the police Task Force, along with the Proactive Team, searched the vehicle and discovered the firearm, according to a press release from the Police Information Office.
“The only occupants of the vehicle, a driver and one passenger, were both taken into custody following the seizure,” police said, adding that no charges have been laid as police continue to investigate.
