Sports and open houses are among the activities planned for Public Service Week, which will start Saturday under the theme “A Public Service for Efficiency, Excellence and Innovation.”

During the week, which is held annually, government employees will compete in softball, basketball, bowling, scrabble, dominoes and other games.

“Last year the team concept for the week of events was reintroduced, and the spirit of competition was evident,” said David Archer, permanent secretary in the Deputy Governor’s Office.

Mr. Archer added that last year’s overall champion was Team C, composed of employees in the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Health and Social Development.
