The Virgin Islands Shipping Registry has taken possession of three boats wrecked in Trellis Bay and is trying to contact their owners, according to government.

“We are urging owners to claim their vessels with the receiver of wrecks as soon as possible and in any case before Dec. 19, 2018 and to state their intentions for its recovery,” said VISR Acting Director Captain Raman Bala, who serves as the receiver of wrecks, adding that the registry has attempted several times to contact the owners without success.

The vessels are Navi Gated, owned by Tony and Kate Brunn under a United Kingdom flag; Rendezvous, owned by Geoff Day under a UK flag; and Frugally, owned by Claudia Rosana Riva under a VI flag, according to a press release from government.

Though the press release stated that the receiver “will take action” under the Merchant Shipping Act 2001, it did not explain what that action might entail.

The receiver can be contacted at 284-468-9646 or at bvishipregister@gmail.com.
