The winners of government’s Efficiency, Innovate and Save Competition

were recognised last Thursday at a dinner held at Government House.

Paul Fenty, Althea Guishard and Diana Ferrol won first, second and third place, respectively, in the public-sector category, according to Government Information Services.

Glenda Ismael won the private-sector category, with Julia Christopher taking second and third.

The winners were congratulated by Governor Boyd McCleary, Premier Dr. Orlando Smith and Deputy Governor Inez Archibald, and they received framed certificates.

The competition, which started in January 2011 and concluded in September, was designed to gather ideas for making the public service stronger and more efficient while reducing operating costs.

The Deputy Governor’s Office has decided to re-launch the competition this month to encourage the continuous submission of ideas.
