The fourth race of the Ceres 10k series will be held on Saturday.

The race will start from the Carrot Bay Festival Grounds at 6:30 a.m. with registration from 6 a.m.

Runners are asked to arrive early to ensure an on time start.

The course heads along the north shore.

Runners should note that the race is dubbed X10k due to the terrain and hills.

Runners will start on the road in front of the Carrot Bay Festival Ground.  They will run about Run 100 metres east to turn around at the orange traffic cones placed at the foot of Windy Hill.  The course will continue Smugglers Cove passing through Carrot Bay, over the hill at Sugar Mill, through Apple Bay, past Bomba Shack and Sebastians Hotel, up and over a steep hill into Long Bay, through Long Bay.  At the end of Long Bay the road takes a 90-degrees turn uphill to the first right on a dirt road. The run continues along the lower road through Belmont Estate, which is not paved and runners should be prepared for the uneven surface.  The lower road merges back with the upper road where runners turn right to the parking lot at Smugglers Cove.  After entering the parking lot the runners will take the left hand road to continue through Belmont, the turn cone is placed before the foot of a hill (if you start going uphill you have gone too far or the wrong way).  Runners will then head back to the finish line in Carrot Bay.

There will be two water stops both positioned at the parking lot near the Long Bay hotel reception area.

With the addition of the NACAC 10k there are other opportunities for runners to make up a series of three races.

Awards will be presented to all series finishers and top places at the Nov. 5 finale.
