Police charged Verne Forbes Jr., 19, of Sea Cows Bay, with robbery on Monday after he allegedly punched another man and stole his money, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
Ms. Drayton said Mr. Forbes chased the man down before committing his alleged crimes.
The victim said he was in Long Bush when he saw a group of young men, according to Ms. Drayton. He allegedly exchanged words with the men, and was followed when he left the area.
The victim said Mr. Forbes fled the scene, according to Ms. Drayton.
Mr. Forbes appeared at Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, but he did not enter a plea and had his case pushed back to a later date, according to a court clerk.
