A mother’s love is very deep,
She gives her children all she can;
She comforts and she gives support;
Her kindness one cannot repay.
Her days are always very long,
Her nights too short, but she carries on,
And many times over the years,
A mother sheds some silent tears.
A father keeps his family
Nurtured, warm and very safe;
He gives his love and does his best
To see his children through each day.
His work is hard and dollars few,
Yet he endures what he has to do.
When the load is too heavy that he bears,
It’s then he sheds some silent tears.
Life is a mixture of ups and downs,
A journey filled with complexities.
Yesterday was sad and dreary,
But today is filled with sunshine;
No one knows what tomorrow will bring.
Just say a prayer and keep hopes high,
Because I know the good Lord cares.
He will wipe away those silent tears.
