The Ministry of Communications and Works has contracted Claude Skelton-Cline to provide consultancy services relating to the development of the territory’s ports, according to a statement from Government Information Services.

Mr. Skelton-Cline ran unsuccessfully as the National Democratic Party’s candidate for the Second District House of Assembly seat in November’s general elections.

“The Ministry of Communication and Works is moving quickly to address the very urgent matter of ports development territory-wide; to this end, it was extremely important to us that we identify a person who will focus on this task,” Communications and Works Minister Mark Vanterpool said in the statement. “In this vein, we have appointed [Mr. Skelton-Cline] to organise and instigate movement and provide information to the ministry so we can mobilise forthwith.”
