Premier Dr. Orlando Smith is in Brazil this week promoting the territory’s tourism and financial services offerings at two separate events.

Travel Week Sao Paulo, which started Tuesday, is expected to see more than 3,000 attendees over four days.

The event is designed to provide networking opportunities among international suppliers and travel professionals from several Brazilian states and Latin American countries, according to Government Information Services. It takes place at the Bienal’s Pavilion at Ibirapuera Park.

The sixth annual Brazil Investment Summit, which started on Wednesday at Hotel Unique, draws fund managers and investors from around the world who wish to compare strategies, learn about new sector opportunities, and hear from entrepreneurs, according to GIS.

Dr. Smith is to return to the VI on Saturday. In his absence, Deputy Premier Dr. Kedrick Pickering will act as premier in accordance with the Constitution.
