It was an “old-school party” on Saturday at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College auditorium when Nicole Jackson took the stage, performing several songs from the 1970s and 1980s.

The singer, who has performed with Tito Jackson of The Jackson 5, took the stage in front of a small crowd of about two dozen, opening with The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back.” She was accompanied by a four-member band, which included guitar, bass, drums and piano.

“Tonight we are just going to have a good old-school party,” Ms. Jackson said. “Get into your party costumes. … Some of you might even move. Some of you may want to just clap your hands.”

After a brief introduction, she interacted with the crowd before performing Stevie Wonder’s “All I Do.”
