No arrests have been made in connection with a “go-fast” vessel that was detained by Her Majesty’s Customs on Sept. 27, Police Information Officer Akia Thomas said via WhatsApp message Tuesday night.
According to Ms. Thomas, the passengers on board the vessel had already escaped by the time the police arrived where the boat had landed.
“The vessel is [being] detained by Her Majesty’s Customs and the matter is still under investigation,” according to a Sept. 30 customs press release, which added, “The vessel may be in breach of a number of legislations including customs, immigration and curfew [orders].”
