Cycling
BSAFE is offering the public a free learn to ride clinic for children of all ages on Saturday. All equipment will be provided by BSAFE. The clinic will be held at the Central Administraiton Complex near the cruise ship pier in Road Town from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For a guaranteed 20-minute lesson, call or e-mail Mr. Ghiorse at 542-1981 or chris@bsafe.vg.
Paddle Boarding
The stand-up paddle board event last Sunday was rescheduled to June 4 due to inclement weather. There will be several different classes, including elite, open, a kids race and a fun relay race. Courses range from 6 kilometres to 200 metres. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Boards are available at no cost for all competitors. However, there is a registration fee depending on what class participants enter. Kids compete for free. The event will be held at Brewers Bay.
Basketball
The Sea Cows Bay Basketball Club will be hosting a 9-12 District Biddy Basketball Summer tournament from Saturday June 25 to July 9. Registration forms can be collected from Raymond “Chi Chi” Fonseca at 540-5206 or Milton McLean at 542-5555. There is a $120 registration fee which allows teams up to 12 players. Swimming
The Beach-to-Beach Power Swim on St. John registration continues through May 27 at the rate of $40, with late registration allowed on May 28th at the pre-race meeting for $50. There is no registration the day of the event. Sign up online at: http://www.friendsvinp.orh/swim, or call 779-4940.
