Walter Springette, 32, of Sea Cows Bay, was charged with five counts of burglary last week for allegedly breaking into churches and a primary school.

Mr. Springette was charged with illegally entering St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and its adjacent hall, as well as the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School, police said. He was also charged with twice entering the Road Town Methodist Church office, which is presently under renovations.

All incidents happened within the last month, police said, adding that more burglary charges are likely.

Cash, food and a laptop were allegedly taken during the burglaries.

Mr. Springette appeared before the Magistrates’ Court on June 8 and was placed on remand, according to police. He is scheduled to return to court on July 5.

Police investigations are ongoing.
