Thirty-five students from a tourism class at Elmore Stoutt High School took a field trip to The Moorings last month.

During the Jan. 13 visit, they toured different types of yachts and learned about careers within the marine industry, according to the BVI Tourist Board.

They also visited the Tortola Pier Park.

Meanwhile, 10th grader Kayasha Mactavious recently won a one-month internship to work with the BVITB in July.

Ms. Mactavious and her classmates were asked to conduct a research project on tourism development in the territory, according to the BVITB.
