It’s no lie, according to the testimony of Ishmael Harrigan: One morning in December 2012, the former maintenance supervisor of the Road Town Police Station was conducting a routine meeting with staff members when Glenn Callwood, also known as “Supacop,” entered the room and allegedly attacked him.

“I felt a stinging blow coming from my testicles,” Mr. Harrigan said in Magistrates’ Court Tuesday.

When Mr. Callwood, who is charged with indecent assault, allegedly grabbed his crotch, Mr. Harrigan said the pain was excruciating.

The attack occurred in a small shed at the back of the police station grounds in front of three staff members of the maintenance department, according to Mr. Harrigan, who said he was shocked by Mr. Callwood’s actions.

Under cross-examination from defence attorney Stephen Daniels, Mr. Harrigan said Mr. Callwood had stopped him in the past for traffic violations.

Mr. Daniels said, “I’m suggesting to you that what you said today was a plot to get Mr. Callwood. You made these allegations because Mr. Callwood would stop you for traffic violations.”

“That’s what you’re suggesting?” Mr. Harrigan said. “You’re wrong.”

The Crown is expected to call three more witnesses in the case. Mr. Callwood is currently interdicted from duty.
