Police officers retrieved seven wrapped packages of suspected cocaine from the water by the Road Town ferry terminal on Sunday, according to the Police Information Office.
“The packages are being examined and processed by officers,” the PIO stated in a message issued shortly before 5 p.m. the same day.
Police — who had responded to reports of floating packages in the area — didn’t provide further information about the incident.
However, they asked anyone with information regarding the origin of the suspected drugs to call the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
