A 19-year-old man who was receiving treatment at Peebles Hospital for injuries he sustained during a car crash on Wednesday night in Paraquita Bay has died, confirmed Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
Police inquiries indicate that the teenager was driving east when he attempted to evade a vehicle heading west, said Ms. Drayton.
The vehicle he was driving then hit the hillside and overturned, according to Ms. Drayton.
Two passengers were also injured, but they were treated at the hospital and have since been released, she added.
Police investigations are ongoing.
