She likes them so much, in fact, that she decided to draw one as part of her submission for her Caribbean Examinations Council art project.

Last Thursday, the fifth form student explained the painting to more than two dozen people at the 1780 Lower Estate Sugar Works Museum during the launch of the Elmore Stoutt High School Art Exhibition.

Ms. Smith’s bear drawing is among nearly 100 pieces of art on display at the museum for the rest of the month.

The annual exhibition, which is now in its sixth year, continues to grow each year, according to Nadia Winter, who heads the school’s art department.
