Two men were wounded in separate shootings over the past eight days, police said.

The first shooting occurred in the Harrigan Estate area on May 31, police announced the same day in a four-sentence press release.

“Injuries appear not to be life-threatening,” the release stated. “No further information can be released.”

The second man was wounded in a shooting at around 8 p.m. Tuesday in Sea Cows Bay, police said yesterday moring in another four-sentence message.

He “reported to the hospital with injuries,” but was “said to be in stable condition,” they stated, again adding, “No further information can be released.”

Police have not provided any more details about the incidents, which were the latest of several shootings in the territory.

Two over the previous weekend left one man dead and another wounded. Vicardo “Scar” Farrell, a 33-year-old resident of Major Bay, was shot early on the morning of May 27 in the Manchester area, and he subsequently died from his injuries, according to the Police Information Office.

Another man was shot shortly before 9 p.m. on May 28 in Long Bush, police said. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and was in stable condition as of May 29, according to the PIO, which has not provided further updates.

Though police have released few details about the recent shootings, they have urged the public to provide them with information about the incidents and about anyone in the territory in possession of illegal firearms.
