A tourist visiting the territory from Rhode Island was pronounced dead at Peebles Hospital last week, according Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
Rosewell Bosworth Jr., 90, showed signs of cardiac problems while he was on Cooper Island on Feb. 7, according to Ms. Drayton.
Virgin Islands Search and Rescue transported him to Peebles Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1 p.m., Ms. Drayton said.
