The Taddy Bay Airport in Virgin Gorda is closed until Thursday to facilitate “emergency repair works to the runway,” according to a BVI Airports Authority press release.

The release did not specify what the repairs were, but the closure began on Monday.

Taddy Bay Airport has an 18-metre-wide runway with a compacted fine gravel surface, according to the BVIAA website.

The facility was renovated in 2010 after having its licence revoked by Air Safety Support International.
