Officers from the Environmental Health Division will be visiting communities, beginning with Carrot Bay, to assess the territory’s health status after Hurricane Irma.

EHD staff will distribute questionnaires that seek information from each community on the number of sick people, the level of environmental sanitation, food safety, and how solid waste is disposed, according to government.

The agency will also conduct an assessment to determine whether the territory’s water systems are damaged or contaminated.

Department personnel will be available to give advice and to distribute purification tablets, according to government.
