The Virgin Islands entered into a tax information exchange agreement with the Czech Republic this week, agreeing to share certain information on request in civil and criminal tax matters.

Min?i? signed the agreement Monday at the Ministry of Finance in Prague.

The agreement, based on a model TIEA developed by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, is the 22nd such agreement the Virgin Islands has entered into. In a joint declaration, both governments said the agreement represents a milestone in relations between the two jurisdictions.
