Following a stabbing shortly after 7 p.m. on March 15 in Virgin Gorda, a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, police said.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that a verbal dispute between two individuals escalated, resulting in the stabbing of one individual,” police said in a press release. “The victim received medical attention for injuries that were not consideredlife-threatening.”

Police did not provide further information.

However, they are asking the public to report information about the incident or any other criminality to their Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
