As of last Friday, the territory had 12 active Covid-19 cases, with eight on Tortola, two on Virgin Gorda, and two on Jost Van Dyke, according to the government’s Covid-19 Dashboard.
Six cases were found on entry screening “day zero,” two on screening “day seven,” and four during travel screenings.
The number of fully vaccinated residents jumped to
16,336 — a two percent increase from last week’s 15,970. There are now 1,706 people partially vaccinated, a decrease of 226 from last week.
As of Friday last week, the territory had recorded a total of 2,745 Covid-19 cases and tested 80,331 people. That means that of those tested, about 3.4 percent have tested positive. The territory has seen 38 deaths linked to Covid-19.
Of all those tested, 0.04 percent have died with Covid-19. Of those who tested positive, 1.3 percent died with the disease.
The government’s vaccination goal remains at 22,500. It has reached 72 percent of its goal.
