A team showcased the Virgin Islands’ reefs, wrecks and other dive sites during a trade show last week that drew thousands of people from around world.

The Diving Equipment and Marketing Association Show in Las Vegas included more than 500 exhibitors and 300 educational sessions, according to the BVI Tourist Board.

“The DEMA show is an invaluable platform for the BVI to solidify its reputation as a premier dive destination,” said Tourism Director Clive McCoy. “Our presence at this event enables us to connect with key industry stakeholders who play a pivotal role in driving dive tourism to the territory.”

The show, which started Nov. 19 and wrapped up on Friday, serves as a platform for networking, product demonstration, and advancing the dive industry through education and collaboration, according to the BVITB.
