Police arrested a woman and two minors and seized an assault rifle on Friday after searching a Greenland residence as part of their ongoing investigation into the June 20 shooting that left Eric Alezis Albert dead, they said.

Besides the AR-15 assault rifle, police seized “a quantity of 5.56 calibre ammunition,” they said in a short press release on Saturday.

As of Saturday, no charges had been laid, according to the release.

“The recovery of this weapon is a critical development in our investigation,” acting Police Commissioner Jacqueline Vanterpool said in the release. “It is especially alarming that such a dangerous firearm was discovered in a residence with minors. This underscores the urgent need for vigilance and support from the community.”

During a Monday press conference, Ms. Vanterpool said that 579 rounds of ammunition had been seized.

Mr. Albert’s killing marked the third shooting death of 2025.
