Several police officers stood behind yellow caution tape outside Rimmers Bar in Paraquita Bay Tuesday morning, where the body of a 73-year-old man was discovered hunched against the corner of the building.
The body of Arnold Wheatley, a Tortola native who resided in Paraquita Bay, was found around 8:30 a.m., according to a police press release. The body remained on the ground until after 9:30 a.m. as police secured the scene.
The Coroner’s Office has been notified.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Mr. Wheatley’s death, but, at present, it is not being treated as suspicious, the release said.
