A coalition of United States businesses is planning to push back against US President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign statements that he may end diplomatic relations with Cuba, which were resumed by President Barack Obama in December 2014 after being severed for more than 50 years.

According to USA Today, companies across a wide range of industries will lobby Mr. Trump — who has said that he’ll sever ties with Cuba “unless the Castro regime meets our demands” — to keep intact the economic bonds established between the countries over the past two years.

The coalition of companies includes major airlines that have commenced commercial flights to Cuba; a firm that’s operating three Cuba hotels; and tech giants Google and Cisco, which are trying to develop the island nation’s telecommunications infrastructure, USA Today reported on Sunday.
