On Sunday, the Flow Superfast LTE 20/20 tournament continued at the Greenland Grounds as the Cavaliers continued its winning streak against RTW.

The Cavaliers are the only undefeated team in both divisions and the win over RTW by 69 runs cemented their spot at the top of the Premier Division.

The Cavaliers batted first and scored 218-8. The team was led by Kwesi Sinclair who scored 74 with seven 4s and six maximums.  Mohammed Hasan scored 54 and Vishal Bharat finished with 40.

RTW bowler Roy Caines went 2-46 and Colin Olivierre was 2-38.

On offence, RTW got off to a solid start with its top three batters.

Curwin Jack scored 40 and Sylyester Mitchel had 39, but after several wickets RTW’s run came to an end at 164 for 9.

Vin Rambaraose picked up 4 for 24. There were also two late wickets for Mr. Hasan.

The Cavaliers are now in first place with nine points and one game left to play.

RTW is in second place with six points with no more games to play in the regular season.

The playoffs will feature the top two teams competing with the winner going straight to the final. The third and fourth placed teams then will play each other with the winner going on to face the loser of the first qualifier.

In Division One, Under The Tree lost to the VG Spartans.

VG batted first and posted 214-5, with Terry Nanton scoring 98 not out, including 12 fours and five 6s.

Under the Tree were bowled out for just 140, handing VG a 74-run victory, despite Emerald Prince scoring 91, with six 4s and nine 6s.

The wickets were all shared with Michael Castello taking 3-23.

VG now moves to the top of the standings with nine points, however several other matches still need to be played to determine the final standings.

Matches continue on Sunday at the Greenland Grounds.
