After competing with 11 other Elmore Stoutt High School students for almost four hours, Kyla Forbes and Jaleel Howe were crowned Mr. and Miss Fifth Form in the presence of hundreds of cheering residents on Saturday at the Multi-purpose Sports Complex.
The pageant was held under the theme “Let the Mistakes of Yesterday be the Lessons for Today.”
The competition started with a dance. The contestants took the stage together, and then danced their way to the front one by one.
Later, the contestants came back on stage individually to introduce themselves.
After the introductions, the seven girls and six boys competed in three more segments: career wear, talent and eveningwear.
