Action started Friday, with Momentum coasting to a 101-45 win against Community One in the first game of the night. Louie Poblete led Momentum with 24 points, and Sodiq Bramble had 16 for Community One.

The main event of the night was a matchup between the Bayside Blazers and West Gunners, which were league champions in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

The West Gunners knocked off the Blazers last year in the semi-finals on their way to a title, but the Blazers would get revenge on Friday in a 98-75 victory.

Blazers forward Dextroy Manswell led all scorers with 24, and Kahain Mirott had 20 for the West Gunners.

Action continued on Saturday with three tightly contested games: Avengers versus Pure Playaz, Red Zone versus Next, and Warrias versus Winning Mantality.

The Avengers won a tight 90-87 contest in the first contest, with Iban Montern leading his team to victory with 21 points. Jachoy Walwyn had 19 points for Pure Playaz.

In the second game, Kelvin Samuel had 24 points for Next in an 84-82 win over Red Zone, who were led by Nathanial Malone’s 24 points.

The final game had the Warrias squeaking out a 57-56 win over Winning Mantality, despite a 20-point, 15-rebound game from the latter’s Rudy Vanterpool.

Momentum played again on Sunday against We Dem Boyz, gaining another win in a 69-68 contest. Mr. Poblete again led his team with 21 points, while Riquan Fahie had 20 points for We Dem Boyz.

The Bayside Blazers also played again that night, winning 97-80 over the Splash Brothers. Dion Blyden had 26 points for the Blazers, and Shamoii Dahou had 26 points for the Splash Brothers.

League action continues tomorrow night at 7 p.m., with the Warrias playing Next, followed by Avengers versus Starz.
