The Foxy’s 40th Wooden Boat Regatta was held last weekend at Jost Van Dyke.

This year, the event had 20 boats competing in four classes. Eight of the boats were wooden.
Three years ago, organisers allowed other boats, including fibre glass, to compete in the regatta.
“In the early days, we would see up to 120 wooden boats turn out for this event,” an organiser said. “Unfortunately, there are fewer wooden boats around these days.”
The Wooden Boat Class was won by Dr. Robin Tattersall aboard Diva.
Dr. Tattersall took first place in the second Foxy’s Wooden Boat Regatta 39 years ago.
The Tortola Sloop Class was won by Felicano “Foxy” Callwood aboard Endeavour, a Tortola sloop built on JVD by the Jost Van Dyke Preservation Society and launched earlier this year.
