Last weekend, the BVI Football Association’s national league continued with Old Madrid beating One Love, 3-2.

Trevor Peters scored first in the seventh minute followed by a goal by Kenmore Peters in the 17th minute to make it 2-0.

Andre Thomas scored for One Love in the 34th minute to make it 2-1.

In the 37th minute, Matthew Daley  scored for Old Madrid to restore the two-goal advantage for Old Madrid.

One Love pressured Old Madrid’s defence in the second half, but Uriah Baptiste scored in the 70th minute to make it 3-2, which was good enough for the victory.

In the second match, the Rebels beat the Panthers, 4-1. Shortly after Joel Williams scored the opening goal on a header, the Panthers goal keeper Edgber Isaac was sent off the field for a second yellow card.

His first came on a challenge near the edge of his own area and the second came after he removed his shirt in frustration.

In the second half, Curtly Peters made it 2-0 in the 41st minute and Michael Baptichon knocked in a goal to make it 3-0.

Andrew Morrison put the Panthers on the board with a goal, but Mr. Baptichon scored his team’s second goal of the match to win the game, 4-1.

On Sunday, the Sugar Boys shut out VG United, 5-0.

Despite heavy rains and a wet pitch, all the scoring was done in the second half.

Mohammed Kashour scored the first goal of the game in the 47th minute and went onto complete his hat trick with goals in the 75th and 78th minutes. Michael Castello netted in the 73rd minute and Allon Williams knocked in a goal during the 77th.

The Islanders reamined undefeated on the season with a 4-0 win over the Wolues —  all the goals came in the second half.

Nano Ottley scored in the 52nd minute, Kevin Fisher added the second goal, while, Francis Primo scored in the 86th minute and then Montgomery Butler scored from the penalty spot in the 91st to end the match at 4-0.
