The Virgin Islands Volleyball Association recently announced the introduction of its junior female national team.

 

“The development of a Volleyball Succession Programme has been the main ambition of VIVA in the recent years,” said a VIVA press release.

It is the first time the territory has had an under-18 female team, which will represent the VI at the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association Championships in St. Maarten on July 23-26.

The team includes Kyra Profit, Mya Walwyn, Shanique Robinson, Dekoya Hodge, Shauliqua Fahie, Gia Malone, Joy Victor, Shelcy Hodge, T’Auna Alphonso and Taajah Skelton. The team is coached by Willis Potter and Jackie Weeks.
