A 26-year-old government employee died Tuesday night after receiving stab wounds, police said.
Tishawn Henley, of Georges North Side, was pronounced dead shortly after 6:40 p.m., when he arrived by ambulance to Peebles Hospital, according to a press release from the Police Information Office.
Police said they detained a man in relation to the incident, but the release did not identify him.
Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Major Crime Team are continuing investigations. Meanwhile, the Coroner’s Office has been informed of the death and a family liaison officer has been appointed, the release stated.
Police are asking any witnesses to contact the Major Crime Team at 468-2719.
