A road accident in the Fort Hill area on Tuesday left one man dead and two others injured, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
Initial investigations indicate that the driver of a tow truck was removing a vehicle from the area when the tow truck slipped, Ms. Drayton stated in a press release.
Three men, including the tow truck driver, were injured.
All three victims were taken to Peebles Hospital, and one of them died from his injuries, according to police.
Investigations are ongoing.
