Police are looking into an incident where one person was taken to Peebles Hospital with stab wounds and two vehicles were damaged Friday afternoon, Police Information Officer Diane Drayton said.

“He was treated and released,” Ms. Drayton said of the stab victim.

One of the vehicles — a white Lincoln Navigator — drew a crowd of onlookers Friday afternoon, as it sat in a parking space next to the Long Bush Public Road near the Band Stand, with all of its windows smashed and some of its tyres deflated, as police took photographs and measurements.

Police continue to investigate the incident, Ms. Drayton said.

“At this point, we can say nothing more than that,” she added.
