Police Information Officer Diane Drayton confirmed Friday that police are no longer investigating the death of a 67-year-old barge worker who died while working on Feb. 16.

Mario Urquia, a native of Honduras, died suddenly while working aboard the Princess Sam Asia while it was anchored in St. Thomas Bay, Virgin Bay.

No one was charged in relation to the incident, Ms. Drayton said.

“The matter is no longer under police investigations,” she stated. “However, it is a matter now for the Coroner’s Office.”

The Princess Sam Asia is owned by shipping company Global Ocean Transporting.
