The 2014 Caribbean Basketball Confederation Championship got under way at the Multi-purpose Sports Complex on Tuesday.
The Virgin Islands won its first game against Guyana, 99-63. The team was scheduled to face Barbados last night.
Games continue today and tomorrow, with the finals starting on Saturday and wrapping up on Sunday.
Teams from Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Guyana, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the USVI are competing in the men’s championship.
Teams from Bahamas, Barbaods, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and the VI will compete in the women’s championships.
