Swimming
The Summer Splash Swim at Smugglers will be held on June 21. Participants can choose between a one-mile swim or half- mile swim. There will also be races for kids afterward the main event, which will be divided up into age groups.
The cost is $30 per person, with proceeds going to KATS. Kids under 18 swim for free. A barbecue and refreshments will be provided.
Aquathlon & Triathlon
The Peter Island-Athlon on June 14 will include a triathlon as well as an aquathlon (swim/run). The event is to raise money for the Family Support Network.
There will be a $30 fee for all adults (including participants, parents & volunteers) all of which will be donated to the charity. Children are free. The ferry and breakfast are included. Participants are encouraged to collect additional sponsorship for the charity and the person collecting the most sponsorship will receive a special Peter Island Charity prize.
Race registration will be at the Tortola Sports Club on today between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
There is no registration on the day of the event.
The aquathlon is only open to individuals, the triathlon is open to individuals and teams.
