Travellers arriving to St. Thomas on their way to the Virgin Islands will be greeted by officers from the BVI Tourist Board, according to a press release issued Thursday.

The greeters are stationed at the Cyril E. King Airport and the Wilmoth Blyden Ferry Terminal from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will assist visitors with transferring to the VI and with any questions they have about taxis, ferries, luggage, customs and immigration, according to the release.

More importantly, the greeters will provide a warm welcome to the guests, said Tourism Director Sharon Flax-Mars in the release.

“Our BVI Greeter Service Programme is staffed with a professional team of tourism ambassadors who are trained to provide quality service, guidance, and information to guests navigating their way to our islands and cays,” Ms. Mars said. “By offering this increased level of customer service we are able to create a level of warmth and hospitality to welcome our guests upon their entry into the Virgin Islands.”
