Early bird registration for the 7th BVI Half Marathon started on September 1 and will continue through November 1.

The early bird registration fee is $45 and $50 there after through Nov 16. There will be no race day registration. The registration fee includes breakfast, a finishers medal and a official race T-shirt.

The race will offer a $500 prize for the top male and female runners, with second place in each category bagging $250 and third placers will receive $150. There is also a $150 for the top male and female finishers over 45 years as well as $500 for anyone breaking the 2-year-old course record of 1 hour, 07 minutes and 38 seconds.

The 13.1-mile race is scheduled to start and end at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds, after traversing Tortola’s south coast roads.

Already the Ceres Juices 10K Series which is a lead up to the event is in progress, with the next race scheduled for September 22. The VI is also preparing to host a leg of the NACAC 10K Series for the second time on Oct 6.
