Edrick Hypolite, a second-year student at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, spent much of the past semester creating a website for the Francis Lettsome Primary School.

Last Thursday, his work was on display during the HLSCC Computer Science Fair, which featured a variety of projects created by 24 students.

“It took a lot of time, and unlike most subjects this one had to do with lots of hands-on work with clients,” Mr. Hypolite said.

This was the third year the fair was held, according to Fidel Captain, a lecturer in HLSCC’s Business and Computer Studies Department.

“One of the main aims of the project is to prepare the students for the real world, and they are to prepare projects that capture what they have learnt throughout their stay in the school,” Mr. Captain said.
