A record 63 businesses participated in this year’s expo, showing off their products and services to the hundreds who attended the two-day event, according to BVICCHA staffer Avril Alexander.

Some of the businesses, like CCT Global Communications, have been attending the expo for years, while others were fledgling companies looking for their first public exposure.

Still others, like the soon-to-be-open craft store Big Mind, were looking to get the word out about their products even before they open.

“We intend to have a place at the pier park soon. I came here to introduce my business,” said Big Mind owner Josette Allen, who displayed her handmade pottery products. “A lot of people are interested. I have something that’s actually made in the BVI — not China or Japan.”
