Leslie Smith, 44, and Janeen Martin, 31, were charged with cultivating a controlled drug after police found 92 marijuana plants ranging in height from three to four feet in two hydroponic chambers, according to a police press release.
Search warrants were carried out on two buildings in Nottingham Estate as part of a joint operation by officers of the Special Investigations Team and the Intelligence Department, the release states.
In addition to the location with the marijuana growing operation, officers also searched a home in the area, where a man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. Police did not identify the couple.
Police continue to investigate the matter.
