Henry Mitchell continued his hot scoring with two more last night,

as unbeaten Islanders improved to 8-0 in BVI Football Association National League play, following a come from behind 3-1 triumph over winless Haitian Starz who fell to 0-8.

 

Mr. Mitchell—who had a hat trick during Islanders’ 3-0 victory over Virgin Gorda United on

Sunday—added two more (45,68) in last night’s win. Avondale “Avon” Williams opened the scoring four minutes in.

Haitian Starz’s James St. Amie had their lone goal, after they failed to show for Sunday’s match in Virgin Gorda, to take a 1-0 lead.

In other matches—the first of a series of defensive battles—Old Madrid played a spirited and aggressive game to tie Ball Stars 1-1. Jamie McKhoy gave Ball Stars a 1-0 lead in the 21st, before Garnett Ferron knotted it two minutes later. Both teams played to a 0-0 second half, as both teams failed to convert their chances.

Sugar Boys and the Panthers played to a 0-0 regulation tie, before Jairo Morris scored broke the Panthers’ defense two minutes into extra time, for a 1-0 victory.

In a defensive tussle, One Love and the Wolues played to a 0-0 draw.
