Joseph Samuel, 47, a native of St. Kitts and Nevis residing in North Sound, Virgin Gorda was found dead at Gun Creek on Saturday evening, police said.
The deceased’s family reported him missing Saturday afternoon, and he was last seen Friday morning, according to a police press release.
His body has been transported to Tortola for a post-mortem exam, according to the release.
Police will provide assistance to the Coroner’s Office in the investigation.
“It’s not been treated as a potential homicide – just an unexplained death,” said Police Information Officer Diane Drayton, who declined to provide further information about the circumstances of Mr. Samuel’s death.
